We've reached the end of the A to Z Video Game Art Challenge and I've decided to go with a classic. She's appeared in video games for nearly 30 years now, with her first being The Legend of Zelda in 1986.
Looking back on this 26 illustration challenge I can definitely say that I've learned a lot. About half of the pieces were done traditionally in Copic markers and the other half were done digitally, pausing in the middle for a 16x20 acrylic painting on canvas. I started the challenge simply as an excuse to get more practice time in but also because it's the art that draws me to games (video games and traditional games alike). Hopefully those of you who've viewed the works in this series have enjoyed them as much as I've enjoyed creating them!
Here are some of my favorites in the A to Z challenge, in case you missed them:
Altair - Assassin's Creed
Handsome Jack - Borderlands 2
Isaac Clarke - Dead Space
Adventurer's Rest (Link) - Legend of Zelda
Talion - Shadow of Mordor
Urdnot Wrex - Mass Effect
